Named after the Japanese mountain-Sakura, this world blend features malt whisky from Asaka distillery in Honshu, complemented by grain, peated and unpeated whiskies sourced from beyond Japan’s borders. It was aged for three years in a combination of first-fill bourbon, ex-oloroso and ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The result is a well-balanced dram with caramel, peat smoke, citrus and stewed fruit in equal measures.
